WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Thesis, Berlin (Beyond Obsolescence: Exploring How Growing Design Can Transform Digital Media Waste into Sustainable Ecosystems)
    Berlin, Germany

    // Jan - Sept 2025 //

    • Investigated the entanglements between digital media waste, designed obsolescence, and biological ecosystems through design-led research methodologies.

    • Utilised an interdisciplinary approach drawing on media theory, ecological design, material research, and case studies to explore symbiosis, sustainability, and regenerative approaches to media obsolescence.

    Designed a speculative project that features hybrid bio-digital material futures through sculptures made of mycelium and discarded e-waste, envisioned in a future ‘museum of obsolesence’. The project Entangled Systems was exhibited at Berlin New Media Week and Berlin Art Week. Part of the curated exhibition ‘Intelligent Kin’ at MaHalla Berlin (Sept 2025).

    • Selected for ECHO Academy, funded by EU’s CERV Program and facilitated by DE/MO (Amsterdam), Public Art Lab (Berlin) & University of Europe for Applied Sciences (Berlin).

    • Collaborated on a multimedia campaign Re:Moss on ecology and biodiversity through an interactive installation, workshops, print media, and GIY (Grow-It-Yourself) kits. Presented at TINCON, re:publica 2025.

    • Gained experience in interdisciplinary research, public campaign design, material experimentation, and translating ecological discourse into interactive new media and regenerative communication design formats.

    • Led creative direction and logo design for the 2024 edition as Graphic Design Lead, shaping the visual identity across print, digital, spatial, and exhibition formats.

    • Directed social media and event graphics, wayfinding and brand collateral while supporting on-site operations and community engagement.
